2024 Official launch of the new Yamaha TRACER9 GT+ Sport Touringr.

After entering the European market for a long time, Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. The Yamaha TRACER9 GT+ officially introduced a new sport touring product to the North American market, which comes with up-to-date driver assistance systems and equipment and comes with technological advances designed to drive modern vehicles.

Derek Brooks, the Product Line Manager of Yamaha Motorsports, spoke about the exciting new model, the '2024 TRACER 9 GT+,' which has received much acclaim in various editions. It delivers an unparalleled sport riding experience with its thrilling 890cc CP3 inline triple engine, well-arranged lightweight chassis, and the highly advanced semi-active suspension system. The TRACER 9 GT+ elevates its capabilities and convenience with numerous features, making it highly agile for riding through winding hills while managing long-distance rides across states, a perfect fit for the North American market.

What's new on the American version of the car is the installation of a Millimeter Wave Radar, which is an important assistant to the ACC or Adaptive Cruise Control system, and the UBS or Unified Brake Systems, which will work similarly to a car system that can automatically adjust the speed, including the ability to slow down, consistent with the speed of the front car. To keep the distance behind the rear steady according to the predefined 4 levels of adjustability.

Technically, the TRACER 9 GT+ is considered the world's first motorcycle to be equipped with a Unified Brake System that utilizes radar sensors to assist in calculating its operation. It also collaborates with a 6-axis IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) to provide braking force from the rider in different conditions, enhancing braking efficiency and control significantly. The 6-axis IMU sends data to the Engine Control Unit (ECU) to enable features such as Traction Control System (TCS), Slide Control System (SCS), and Lift Control System (LIF), all of which contribute to improved capabilities and convenience.

The TRACER 9 GT+ comes with the KYB® Actimatic Damper System® (KADS), an electronic suspension control system developed jointly with KYB, providing sporty performance and a comfortable riding experience. Through many different types of sensors, the system continually analyses the vehicle's dynamics, and the Suspension Control Unit (SCU) modifies damping force depending on typical driving situations.

Moreover, the semi-active suspension system also works in conjunction with other systems by continuously examining the vehicle's dynamics from various sensors. The Suspension Control Unit (SCU) adjusts damping force accordingly to suit typical driving conditions. The semi-active suspension system also collaborates with other systems of the motorcycle.''

The TRACER 9 GT+ also comes with Yamaha’s 3rd-generation Quickshifter, which allows fast up and down gear changes without clutch between acceleration and deceleration. For more versatile operation and flexibility in driving styles. It also works with the Adaptive Cruise Control system, allowing drivers to change gear without turning off the automatic speed control system.

Another new feature on the motorcycle is the 7-inch TFT display screen, which comes with adjustable brightness to ensure complete and clear information display. Riders can choose from three different display layouts, each having its own distinct style to match personal preferences and driving conditions. Additionally, a USB-A port has been added below the meter for charging and connecting smartphones. For advanced connectivity, riders can directly link their smartphones and Bluetooth accessories to make calls, receive calls, or control music.

Furthermore, by downloading the Yamaha MyRide-Link app, riders can receive weather updates, messages, and access various additional features. This includes integration with the Garmin Motorize app, allowing the display of Garmin app functions on the TFT screen through an annual subscription.

The 2024 version of the Yamaha TRACER 9 GT+ will be available in the Storm Grey range at a recommended price of $16,499 or about 565,050 bucks. It will be released from a dealer in August and so on.
