2023 Kawasaki Z400 unveiled with Euro5 emission updates - full details have been covered
Kawasaki has announced updates to bring the new Z400 up to the latest emission norms.
The biggest upgrade in the new Z400 is in the powerplant, which meets Euro 5 emission norms. The engine is still a 399cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled unit that produces 44bhp and 37Nm of torque. Although the power output remains the same, the torque figures have been reduced by 1Nm on the new model.
In terms of design, the new version carries many elements from its predecessor. The overall design is more or less borrowed from the H2, which includes single-pod headlights, shrouded muscular fuel tank, step-up seats and side-slung exhaust. In addition, roadster motorcycles require single-piece handlebars instead of clip-ons like the Ninja 400.
The new Kawasaki Z400 is offered in two colours, which include Metallic Spark Black with Candy Lime Green and Pearl Robotic White with Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Grey.
In the case of bicycle accessories, the story is the same as before. The motorcycle is supported by a steel trellis frame. It gets 41mm telescopic forks at the front and adjustable mono shock preset at the rear.. Braking on the motorcycle is handled by a single 310mm disc at the front and a single 220mm disc at the rear.
And since the Z400 meets the new BS-VI emission standards, Kawasaki is unlikely to bring it to our shores just yet. We know Team Green is going to launch the Ninja 400 here.
